Meet Our Rabbi
Rabbi Gil-Ezer Lerer has served Temple Menorah since 1982 when he returned to Milwaukee following his ordination to share the pulpit with his father Rabbi Isaac Lerer, Z”L.
Rabbi Gil-Ezer was raised in Milwaukee. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Northeastern-Illinois. In 1982, Rabbi Lerer received his rabbinical ordination and Bachelor of Hebrew Literature from the Hebrew Theological Seminary in Skokie IL.
Rabbi Gil-Ezer is a past president of the Wisconsin Council of Rabbis, a current member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains and serves proudly as a Chaplain for the WI DOJ and various police departments in our area.
“Rabbi G” is an avid sports fan and a more enthusiastic Packers, Brewers, Badgers, Golden Eagles or Bucks fan won’t be found.
Rabbi Gil-Ezer and his wife, Debbie, have five children; Ariella, Lytal (Eytan), Yosef, Rachie and Yitzchak.
